How to Start a Wordpress Blog

With any project, often the hardest part is getting started. Once you are up and running, Wordpress blogging can become a part of daily life. So how do you start a Wordpress blog?
Wordpress install is quite straightforward once you know your way around, but there is a learning curve, especially in getting everything configured to work with the host.
The first two steps in starting a blog is registering a domain name which you can do through services like GoDaddy, and finding a good host. If you head to the hosting page on the Wordpress web site, you will find some suggestions.
If you end up not being happy with your host, you can move your blog later. Wordpress entries are stored in a MySql database which you can move to a different host along with any images that you upload.
If you are new to blogging, choose a web site hosting account which comes with Wordpress pre-installed. These types of accounts are handy because if there is a glitch, the host will troubleshoot the problem for you.
Once your hosting account is set up, expect to receive an email telling you how to get your domain name to point to the host, as well as the log in and password to your Wordpress site. At this point, you are ready to input your first blog post.
